A heart-shaped Love Medal in 18-carat gold, by the French Maison Alphonse Augis. The Love Medal originated in 1907; this particular piece dates from the 1960s or 70s.
Inspired by Rosemonde Gérard's line "I love you, more than yesterday and less than tomorrow", this medal is the symbol of a growing and timeless love.

The jewelry is in excellent condition. Some of the letters that appear on this medal have enamel inside their loops, which gives the message a raised effect.
There are a few micro-scratches on the back of the pendant, which are due to age.
